Make sure your personal information is up to date. This information includes your marital status and your employer at 31 March. Don’t forget to tell us about any changes! You can do this by logging in to your online account or filling in a form. You can find all our forms on the Forms and guides page.

It’s important to check the pay information in your statement, as this affects how we work out you pension benefits. Contact your employer if you have any queries about the pay used.

To find out what your LGPS benefits are worth now look at the current value. This shows the total value of your pension at 31 March in the year the statement is issued. This is the amount which would be paid at your normal pension age once your employment ends.

As a member of the LGPS, benefits could be due to your loved ones if you die in service. These include a lump sum death grant and a survivor’s pension to your spouse or partner. Check your statement to see what would be paid to your family.

Your statement shows what your pension could be at your normal pension age if you stay in scheme on the same pay and hours. This information is an estimate. It doesn’t include inflation and could be affected by future scheme changes.
