Covid-19 -Important updates

Publication date: 24/03/2020 11:43:07

We want to let you know that despite recent disruption due to the coronavirus, we're doing all we can to keep our service running smoothly and to manage the situation for our employers, members and staff.

We're following the latest advice from the UK government and have decided to stop all drop-ins and one-to-one appointments at the Shirehall until further notice. All of our staff can work from home and we have plans in place so we can keep administering the scheme, paying pensions and protect the fund against such significant events.

As the situation changes, our processes may have to change as needed, but we'll keep you updated through email alerts and on this employer news page. Thank you again for your understanding and support.

You can still contact us by telephone or email!

If you want to talk to us, you can give us a call or send us an email. We're also still getting, and sending post from our usual address.

Our contact information can be found at the bottom of this email and our helpdesk hours are still the same:

Monday - Thursday 8.45am to 5pm

Friday 8.45am to 4pm

Electronic signatures temporarily accepted

We understand some of our employers may be working from home due to Covid 19, and sending us signed leavers forms may be a problem.

During this period, we’ll accept leavers forms without a signature. However, we’ll only do so if they've been emailed to us by an authorised signatory for your organisation. We don’t need a paper copy sending to us.

To allow for this change in process, we've updated our website with fillable leavers forms. We are also working on fillable versions of our other employer forms. Please make sure you’re using the latest versions of our forms which can be found in our forms and guidance library.

We’re only relaxing our procedures during the Covid 19 outbreak. Once government restrictions on social distancing are lifted, we’ll once again need all leavers forms to be signed by an authorised signatory.

We're not able to extend the time limits for the submission of i-Connect data or payments of contributions, as these dates are set out in law .

However, if you know you're going to be late with your data uploads or sending through contributions, please let us know and we'll record this. We expect you to tell us an estimated time scale of when you'll be able to submit by, if possible.
