Employer training and resources
The Local Government Association (LGA) have created a new area of the LGPS website where scheme employers can find dedicated resources and guides about the employer role. The Employer Resources section includes bite-size training for employers on assumed pensionable pay. They'll be launching more employer training on other topics in the coming months.
Calculation of assumed pensionable pay
Do you know how to work out assumed pensionable pay (APP) and when to apply it? The LGA have updated their employer guidance on how APP should be calculated. You can learn more about APP in the payroll guide, on the Employer guides and documents page of www.lgpsregs.org, and from their employer bite-size training modules.
