Year end reminder- 30th April is nearly here

In March, the person in your organisation responsible for LGPS pension issues will have been sent  an email setting out the year end requirements.

Attached to the email were:

  • Form lgs121a – Year end reconciliation
  • Form lgs121b -  Data compliance statement
  • Letter with year end requirements
  • Appendix 1 – Casual/ timesheet hours

Thank you to those of you who've already returned these forms. However, if you've not already done so, please make sure you do the following actions.

  • LGS121a is filled in, signed and returned to Cheryl (this can be posted or emailed to cheryl.morrell@shropshire.gov.uk) by 30th April 2020
  • LGS121b is filled in, signed and returned to Cheryl (this can be posted or emailed to cheryl.morrell@shropshire.gov.uk) by 30th April 2020
  • Please ensure all data requested is supplied to us and any queries raised by the pensions team are responded to promptly to make sure data is checked and accurate for production of annual benefit statements.

For the pensions team to issue accurate employee benefit statements by the August deadline and for reconciliation of the pension fund accounts, we must have forms lgs121a and lgs121b. These must be sent to us, fully completed and correct, by 30 April 2020. Failure to return forms lgs121a and lgs121b will result in a breach being recorded in line with the fund’s breaches policy
