You have the flexibility in the LGPS as to when you can retire and take your pension. You can choose to retire and draw your pension at any time between the age 55 and 75.
Your normal pension age is the age when you can retire and take the pension you have built up in full, without reduction. If you take your pension later than your normal pension age it will be increased due to it being paid later.
The amount of increase will be based on how many years later than your normal pension age you draw your benefits. Further information on the increase applied will be provided on retirement.
