Strike Action and the LGPSJuly 15, 2015
Absence from work due to strike action does not count towards your pension membership. The pension you build up in a year where you have taken strike action will be reduced by the amount of pension lost due to the strike action unless an election is made to cover the absence by paying Additional Pension Contributions (APCs).
If you have recently been on strike and would like to find out how to calculate the cost of covering the absence using APCs see the page on Absence and Pension Contributions. This entry was posted in Additional Pension Contributions.
