Pensions Dashboard commitment confirmed

A written ministerial statement by the Department for Work and Pensions (DWP), in October 2024, has confirmed the new government’s commitment to pensions dashboards and highlighted the good progress being made by the Pensions Dashboard Programme.

The Minister for Pensions, Emma Reynolds MP, also announced the MoneyHelper dashboard will be made publicly available before commercial dashboards are launched to obtain better insights into customer behaviour and ensure greater confidence in a range of areas, including security and consumer protection.

This public demonstration of support for dashboards is a reminder of the opportunity we all have to help people improve their financial wellbeing.

Quality of data will be key to the successful implementation of the Pensions Dashboard for the LGPS and we urge all employers to ensure their submissions through i-Connect are accurate.

All pension providers must be connected to the dashboard by 31 October 2026.
