Funding Strategy Statement Consultation 2022
The fund is required by the Local Government Pension Scheme Regulations to prepare and publish a funding strategy statement (FSS). This document sets the fund’s strategy on how each fund employer’s pension liabilities are to be met going forward. The strategy has been updated following the results of the 2022 valuation.
At the recent employers meeting the updated 2022 FSS was introduced to employers and on 2 December 2022 the Pensions Committee agreed in principle to adopt the draft strategy. The final strategy will be agreed at the March 2023 Pensions Committee.
Employers have until 31 January 2023 to provide general comments on the FSS. Please note, most of the information contained in the FSS is required to meet regulations and can therefore not be amended.
