Have you informed us about flexible retirement

Publication date: 12/06/2024 12:50:25

From the age of 55, a member may be able to flexibly retire with your agreement. It is important to make sure that you contact us when a member decides to take flexible retirement.

Employers must request a quote from us before proceeding with a flexible retirement request. There could be costs involved and you must take this into account before making a decision.

In order to process a flexible retirement request, we'll need to receive a completed PEN007A form. We’ll also require a supporting document, such as a formal letter, agreeing the flexible retirement decision.

If you are agreeing to a flexible retirement and the member is paying AVCs, the fund needs to know in advance whether they will be continuing paying into an AVC or not.  If they are going to continue to pay into an AVC then they need to complete a new AVC application form, which needs to be notified and sent to Prudential as soon as possible.

More information on flexible retirement can be found in our retirement booklet.
